The Process

A little chat

The first step always includes the time to get to know each other, either in person or via video chat. We'll talk about the details and vibe of your wedding, your budget, and most importantly, how you want to feel that day.

We'll chat about your dreams for your wedding dress, your ideas, preferences, needs, fears, likes, dislikes, and wishes...to be transformed in the next step into a selection of gowns designed by hand, just for you.

Choose your design

The result of our first chat is a series of inspired-by-you designs that explore options and variations for you to choose from.

During your second appointment we'll review your designs and together, we'll choose which perfect-for-you gown we'll bring to life. Once we've made our selection, we'll take your measurements and begin crafting your dream dress.

If you are placing your order over the internet, we will guide you in taking your measurements over a video call.

Saying yes to the dress

Once you've decided to work with us and have selected your dress, you'll receive an invitation to a private online portal where you'll find your documents. Your order is confirmed with a 50% deposit with several payment options available.

Choosing fabrics and materials

Next, we'll skillfully choose your fabrics from a wide range of largely European options, a process driven by us but guided by your preferences.

Fit to deliver

Once our team has drafted your pattern, we'll prepare your first fitting, after which we'll make adjustments together.

If you are not available for fittings we will send you an expertly finished dress which you can adjust if necessary upon arrival.

With or without fittings, your dress is perfected via our process until it is delivered to you, flawless in every way.

Questions & Answers

Where will my appointments be held?

Your first appointment will be in our atelier in the historic city center of Soave, unless you request a first appointment online or in another location.

It is assumed that your fittings will generally be hosted in our atelier, but we can come to you upon request.

Do you only make wedding dresses?

We specialize in fabulous dresses for every occasion. Red carpet events, social events and of course, weddings... also for other important wedding guests.

For our most selective clients we are happy to create pieces for everyday use.

How much and when do I pay for my dress?

During your first appointment you will give us a budget to work within and we will let you know if we think it works for your needs. Your budget will be used to its fullest capacity and will guide our options.

Only after selecting a design, you make a 50% deposit on your dress with final payment due upon delivery of your dress.

Do I have to know what I want or choose fabrics?

While we will always ask for your opinion along the way, it is Angelina's job to listen to what you want and understand what you need. We are also here to choose the right fabrics to get the best results for you, your figure and the style of your event.

Of course, if you have photos, sketches, ideas or a mood board to share, we'd love to see them.

How much time will it take?

Contact us as soon as possible to start the creative process. More time means more time to design, choose each perfect element, and to enjoy the process!

In case you have an urgent need, we will always do our best to accommodate you. Get in touch to tell us what you need and by when and we'll do our best to say yes!

12-18 months - plenty of time
6-12 months - right time
3-6 months - just right time
< 3 months - we like a challenge

Will there be additional costs?

No surprises — the budget we set at the beginning is all-inclusive. It includes materials, custom details, and even those last-minute adjustments. The only time an additional charge would ever occur, it would be at your request and only with your approval.

"I was super satisfied with the outcome of my dress! I wanted a simple, classic look with a modern touch. I was a little worried of the outcome and not knowing exactly what it would look like until it was completed. Angelina made sure I was part of the whole design process so all my worries went away. About Angelina

La Dolce Vita

Californian by birth, Italian by adoption.

In 2017 I came to Italy inspired by love but today it is my love for Soave and my life here in Italy that has inspired me to make it my home with my young son.

A love for the bride

I became a wedding dress designer almost by accident...fate? Destiny? Luck? I'd guess it's a combination, and I'm grateful.

Years before I would eventually go to fashion school, I was clearly obsessed with drawing dresses, shoes, and the female form. I remember contemplating fabric as a child, (which now seems utterly absurd, though I assure you it's absolutely true.)

When I finally went to fashion school in my mid 20's, I was drawn immediately to complex gowns, difficult to handle fabrics, draping and corsetry.

But besides the technical aspects, focusing on wedding dresses means connecting with you at a very special moment in your life and then making a dress for you and sharing with you an experience that neither of us will forget.

California girl

I am proud to have been born and raised in the gorgeous San Francisco Bay Area.

I had the wonderful and weird fortune of working with both the glamour of Los Angeles and side by side with the creative culture of Silicon Valley, giving me a truly unique mix of experiences and inspirations that shape my atelier to this day.

The best of the best

From the leaders in the tech industry (Google, Facebook, Apple...) to the top names in California sport (49ers, Warriors...) I have dressed the best. (I've also been to a lot of pro-sports events in too-high heels, admittedly without any understanding of the game I was attending.)

Red carpet queen

My work, and sometimes I myself, have appeared many times on American national TV, important magazines, and many red carpets.

That's all really wonderful but, the truth is, the most beautiful women I've dressed don't walk red carpets, they walk into new phases of their lives, dressed in something I've made for them with joy.
